Projects
Splice Pay
Check out Splice Pay: a digital wallet and cost-splitting web-app. This CareerFoundry UX design immersion project tries to go deeper than the typical bootcamp project- delving into new trends in how people spend money with others. This case study includes a video demo of the 120+ screen prototype.
What I love to do
FIGMA
I am obsessed with Figma! Figma has become an indispensable part of my design workflow, allowing me to seamlessly translate ideas into visually compelling and user-centric interfaces. I look forward to using its collaborative features to enhance my ability to work efficiently collaboratively within a team.
DESIGNING FOR OLDER FOLKS
With an awareness of the growing demographic of older users, I advocate for designing digital products that cater to their unique needs. My approach involves thoughtful consideration of accessibility, usability, and inclusive design principles. Crafting interfaces that resonate with older individuals is not just a design choice but a commitment to an age-friendly digital landscape.
BUILDING A CONSENSUS
A harmonious team is essential for successful design outcomes. I specialize in fostering collaboration and building consensus among diverse stakeholders. By facilitating effective communication and aligning goals, I ensure that the entire team is on the same page, resulting in cohesive and user-focused design solutions.
RESEARCH
As a UX designer, my passion lies in understanding people and their behaviors. My background in sociology fuels my curiosity, enabling me to conduct meaningful user research. From insightful interviews to user testing, I delve deep into user experiences, ensuring that every design decision is rooted in a thorough understanding of the target audience.
BRAINSTORMING
The art of ideation and problem-solving is at the core of my design process. I thrive on brainstorming sessions where creative thinking flourishes. From identifying the right problem to generating innovative solutions, my approach involves collaborative and structured brainstorming to ensure we're addressing challenges effectively and creatively.
CONTENT STRATEGY
Language has incredible power in shaping a compelling user experience. My content strategy involves crafting narratives that resonate with users, ensuring that the language used enhances clarity and engagement. From microcopy to comprehensive content plans, my writing skills contribute to a cohesive and impactful user journey.
My Story
Hey there, I’m Tracy!
Hey there, I’m Tracy!
I'm an emerging Product Designer and UX/UI Designer based in NYC. My journey into Product Design began in 2023 after successful completing CareerFoundry's UX Design program.
Before stepping into the world of pixels and prototypes, I spent years as an ESL Educator, guiding talented professionals globally and locally in navigating the nuances of communication within the English-speaking business realm.
Now I want to bring my passion for helping others find their voice to user-centric design- bringing a unique blend of global perspectives and educational insights to the forefront.
My mission is to translate the skills honed in education into crafting digital experiences that resonate with the diverse tapestry of users today. I'm on a mission to blend creativity, empathy, and thoughtful design to make a meaningful impact in the digital landscape.

Some other things that inspire me:
TEACHING
Teaching is not just my past profession; it's an integral part of my design journey. Through teaching, I not only share my knowledge but also gain fresh insights and perspectives. Although, I’m just getting started, peers have already stared to seek me out for help making interactive Figma components, or to talk through complicated UX topics.
NEW YORK
New York City serves as an endless source of inspiration for my design aesthetic. The city's architecture, art scene, food scene, and its eclectic mix of people, continually influence my creativity. Designing with New Yorkers in mind, means designing for the world. So many characteristics of NYC align with good design- iconic simplicity, direct, timeless colorful and adaptable.
LANGUAGES
As a long time learner of Portuguese and Spanish, and a teacher of English, I appreciate the nuanced ways in which language shapes user interactions. When crafting intuitive interfaces or considering the global user experience, my diverse language background enriches my ability to design for a broad spectrum of users. I’m also working on French and Japanese!
